The sequel to The City Who Fought, penned by Stirling alone, is just as mediocre as its predecessor.
The City who Fought – S.M. Stirling & Anne McCaffrey
This collaboration between Stirling and McCaffrey takes place in the Brain & Brawn Ship universe
It is vaguely better than McCaffrey’s own efforts. The characters are more solid and there is at least some excitement. Still, I don’t feel that I can really recommend this to anyone.
Sassinak – Anne McCaffrey & Elizabeth Moon
A girl gets sold into slavery by pirates. When she is older, she becomes a pirate hunter in the fleet. Mildly entertaining, but if you want this kind of action, you would be much better off with Weber’s Honor Harrington books.
